Upper Wing construction (11-13)

Thanksgiving provided lots of time to focus on building. The compression ribs were located and epoxied into position. Then the center section that houses a fuel tank was built. The work area in the garage was about 50 making the epoxy tough to work with. 30 seconds in the microwave every hour or so solved that problem. I told my wife I was warming up my coffee. At this stage it doesn’t look like you are getting much done. There a lot of small corner blocks to be epoxied in place. Drag wires holes were drilled and were fitted. A couple rounds of adjustment to the drag wires got the spars straight and swept at 7 degrees. Somewhere in there a turkey was cooked, carved, and consumed. Did I mention the sweet potatoes and squash? Pretty tasty.
