Wing Details / Fuselage Transport: (4-14)
The month of March was devoted to adding hardware to the wings and finishing details. Hinges and brackets along with the aileron push tubes were added. Sand, feel, add filler, sand most of the filler away. Feel, add filler sand, well you get the idea. You never really get finished, you just run out of sandpaper. Thats when you varnish.
The Easter break was the perfect time to bring home the fuselage. With extended family visiting for holiday brunch we enlisted help loading and transporting the fuselage from the airport hangar to our home garage to begin the next phase of construction. Working in the conditioned garage space ensures both creature comfort and spontaneous work sessions between “honey-do” lists. An hour here or there is posssible on weeknight evenings.
